Welcome!

Dear Friends and Colleagues

I take great pleasure in inviting you to the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery (ISMICS) Winter Workshop 2009 being hosted by Medanta,The Medicity, Delhi, NCR, India, from 11th to 13th December 2009. Medanta , the Medicity Is the new multisuperspeciality built by me and my colleagues on a forty three acre campus along the lines of institutions like Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, the likes of which are missing in this part of the world.

ISMICS (The International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery) was formed to organize and centralize the various surgical centres concerned with patient outcomes, techniques, and progressive development of less invasive forms of heart surgery. Formed on May 31, 1997 by the participants of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery at the Palais Des Congres, Paris France, the new ISMICS is taking the leadership role in shaping the direction of less invasive cardiac surgery on a global basis.

ISMICS has its Annual Winter Workshop in different parts of the world and this year the Winter Workshop is being hosted in India
